Dr. Freeland is from Odessa, Texas, and earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise sports science from Lubbock Christian University (LCU) and a master’s degree in biomedical sciences at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC) in Fort Worth. He worked as an EMT on both an ambulance and a mobile urgent care unit for three years before pursuing his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University in Iowa.
